the challenge
Name

Initially, this event was named 'QFC Networking Awards' & given the potential of this kind of event, and the credibility it would provide the organizer in the local business community; I recommended naming this event 'Qatar Business Awards'

Brand
I enhanced the existing brand from last year’s edition and made the logo look more like the actual award trophy, to further instill the shape in the audience’s mind.
Web
I recommended going fully digital for this year’s edition of the awards. That includes, entering the awards, sponsorship requests as well as general inquiries.

I mapped out a strategic User Journey with Calls-to-Action that drive registrations and ensure conversion.

I designed and developed a dynamic / mobile-friendly website to keep up with the demands of the busy target audience (CEO’s and EXCO’s of local and international businesses).

I used the highlights from last year’s edition of the awards to add further credibility to this year’s edition. These highlights include video edits to go on the website headers. You can see some of these cuts below.

Putting emphasis on last year’s winners, entices the sense of competitiveness in our human nature, and in turn, would further encourage the user to enter.
Social

I planned and executed a holistic cross-platform social media promotion plan with the official hashtag #QBAwards.

I managed a number of targeted social media campaigns to further increase registrations. The execution included developing static and dynamic creative assets as well as paid promotion on Linkedin (most appropriate channel), and Facebook.
